"Yo crei que era un temblor"

Last night Yonseili went to the Supermaxi and bought what we need to make chicken quesadillas.  She spoke with David on Facebook and was told that we should make something for the international dishes activity.  A few people had signed up to make dishes from their home country.  Yonseili volunteered herself and me.

So there we went to school with the chicken, beef, tortillas, etc.  We arrived to the Academia and put the stuff in the fridge.  When I walked over the the activities board, one girl asked me if I wanted to play soccer today.  She had played with us last week and her and her buds organized that activity.  I explained to her I couldn't because of our cooking thing.  Then we realized it was for tomorrow.  Yonseili was like, "Where's David?"  She needed to have a little talk with him.  It was pretty funny.

In our advertising class, the new teacher is reading from a book.  Oh my dear goodness I was bored.  I may not be an expert in advertising, but I know that a teacher should not do that.

During our break we saw Brian and Alex who had all their stuff with them.  They left the hostel to move to another one closer to the bus terminal.

As always, literature class was fun.  After class Raquel our professor dropped us off near our house.  I was so thankful since we had the chicken quesadilla stuff with us and we didn't have to pay a taxi.  Adriana my host mom gave us lunch and then we went to the C.C.I. to look for white chocolate for the chocolate strawberries that we were going to make.  Yonseili taught us how to make them.  Fairly easy and the chocolate was delicious.  I ate too much chocolate and by the time we finished making them, I didn't want any.  Since we couldn't find what we wanted there, we went to Bellazucar which is where my host mom said we'd definitely find some.  To be honest, we did see some at the SuperMaxi, but too expensive for the amount .  Lame!

On our way to Bellazucar there was a horrible car accident, thankfully no one was injured it seemed.  At least not seriously.  It was a three-car accident and a taxi cab was involved.  I am surprised that we haven't seen more of those with all the crazy driving that goes on around here.  There was a lot of people just watching.

We finally made the strawberries and it was good to just be distracted by that.  There's been a lot of stress and exhaustion from all the homework and lack of sleep.  I really enjoyed going this.  I caught up on homework after that and had dinner.  I had two hot dogs... I was so happy because hot dogs are quick to eat and I couldn't keep losing time.

I was gonna meet up with Brian and Alex, but I didn't want to go by myself on the taxi.  Brian is leaving tomorrow to Latacunga.  Hopefully he has a good trip!

Highlight of the day: Stupid me dropped my laptop.  I am so mad at myself, you have no idea.  I got up from my bed to go to the restroom.  I then tripped with the extension cord of my laptop and down it went.  I also went down but it was the last of my worries.  My left knee got scratched and there was a tiny little spot where I think there is some internal bleeding on both knees.  I will definitely get bruised.  As mad as I am it was funny to hear my host mom come upstairs and say that she thought it was an earthquake.  That's how loud the drops were.  The added floors made the falls sound more dramatic of course.  My laptop seems okay.  It did shut down afterward but I was able to restarted.  I will have to do a hard drive scan to make sure it's not damaged.  It was the first and hopefully the last time I drop it.
