Walked into class and Vaneza our professor wasn't there... I knew my "gut feeling" was right. She was getting replaced.
But before that we took the taxi to Cyrano. We saw some chocolate truffles and thought it would be nice to get some for our professor since she had shared with us yesterday that she had broken up with her boyfriend because he wanted to date someone else. =(. Well, we got the chocolate for nothing because she's not our teacher anymore.
The school wanted to grant our wishes of having a teacher who spoke English, as we had requested since we registered months ago... today. It's pretty messed up to get rid of her and only to have a teacher that doesn't speak English either. The only thing they had to tell her was to change her grading style. She wanted to make the test worth 50% and to evaluate our Spanish even though it wasn't a Spanish class. I was pretty bummed out.
We did talk to Patty (again), but she said we can try her out and see if we like her. It's just a sticky situation and it sucks.
I read after school and tried to wait for Yonseili but I got too sleepy and just walked home. I took a long nap. 2 hour nap. Yonseili got home and we did homework the rest of the day. This module is really keeping us busy!
Highlight of the day: During our 1/2 hour break, volunteers from the Fundacion Sinsoluka came to talk to us about what they do. They also wanted to invite us to their dance on Friday. All funds would go to their foundation. They help kids from the street as well as poor families. Of course, if other people show up who really need help, they don't turn them away. All I can say is that I can't wait until I get to do volunteer work during the third module.
